From December 2010 to March 2011, Human Rights Action implemented the project Analysis of Effectiveness of the Law on the Protection of the Right to Trial within a Reasonable Time  in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and with the support of the British Embassy in Podgorica. The aim of the project was to improve the respect for the right to trial within a reasonable time. The following activities were conducted within the project:

– Statistical information research and an analytical assessment provided on the effective implementation of the Law on the protection of the Right to a Trial within Reasonable time for the period of 2007-2010 in Montenegro,

– Analysis presented and debated at the round table with representatives of all stakeholders and recommendations provided for improvement of the effective implementation.of the Law and/or amendment of the Law.
